Villa Verona to sell Esteban Granero to FC Barcelona
VILLA VERONA, Spain — Villa Verona has announced that Estebane Granero will leave the club to join FC Barcelona on a five-year contract.
Granero, who has spent the last four seasons at the La Liga club, was one of the top talents in the league last season, scoring 21 goals and assisting 16 others in the process.
The 27-year-old is set to sign a five year deal with the Catalan club and is expected to start in the first team this season.
The transfer marks the latest coup for the club, who have struggled with the number of goals scored and assists.
In December, former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez was sold to Liverpool for a reported £75 million.
